So, I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and I have no friggin’ idea how this works, except I think it’s kind of Substack Twitter? I guess?
Twitter at this point is like someone I used to hang out with back in the day and they were a lot of fun and so I kept hanging out with them for old times’ sake but now they’ve gotten really bitter and angry and paranoid and kinda mean.
Notes is like the new friend who reminds you of that old friend in better times, so they make you feel comfortable because they’re so familiar, but at the same time… you’re wary because they’re so familiar and we all saw how this shit went last time.
But I’m all about new things, and you all seem very cool, so let’s give it a shot, right? What do we have to lose aside from our time and our last remaining shred of faith in humanity, right?
The rest of this post was written for me by Substack, but it’s got links and information. Shout to me there and who knows? Maybe it won’t be terrible.
How’s that for a recommendation?
