I love how angry the protagonist is, they may be trapped but they haven’t been defeated, they still have fire in their belly. I’m excited to find out what they are going to do with it.

"I was younger than fucking springtime." That's my favorite part. So much humor and personality. I was in it from the first sentence, but I was emotionally connected at that moment.
Also, I'm now delightfully identifying people in my life as Extras.
I love this and I want to read more. I especially like the interaction with Abigail at the end. The subtleness you use in interpreting Abigail's subtle coding depth through your protagonist feels natural.
